Hello,

I’m looking for a half-day guide to take me out for half day on Saturday or Sunday. I’m an avid river fly fisherman and would appreciate a reference for someone who might be able to get me on some fish. I can pay up to $250 for the trip and my wife will not be coming (so it’s one person total).

Byron: My wife and I have been coming down to Anna Maria Island for about a decade. When a friend has joined us with his 20 ft bay boat, we target tarpon with conventional gear using crabs and herring. I am an avid fly angler (wee website) and would like to learn how to fly fish for these fish off the beaches or near the passes. I’ve done a little bit but haven’t focused on it as much as I should have. Do you ever guide over near Bean Pt or Longboat Pass south of the entrance to Tampa Bay? This year, I will be at Anna Maria May 19 – June 2. Do you have any dates during the weekdays (not memorial day) that may be open? Would any dates around the hill tides of the 21st – 25th be open? Thanks for responding to my inquiry.
